Dr. Adrian Gluck, MBA, PhD, PE

CEO & Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Gluck escaped communist Romania with his family at 16. He worked as a busboy and loading dock worker until he learned English and saved enough money to go back to school. Upon graduating from high school, he obtained an Industrial Engineering degree in ergonomics and computer science, an MBA, and a PhD.

Dr. Gluck began his career as a Computer Systems Engineer with Exxon Corporation, where is developed the first intra-company computer network in the world. He obtained his MBA supported by an Exxon grant, and as his thesis he developed the self-serve gasoline station model now used around the world.

He then became Chief Information Officer for a subsidiary of AON. After that he launched the Fortrex Systems Corporation, which became the leading provider of car, truck and container feel management systems with worldwide clients including Avis, Hertz and Sea Containers.

He then founded and served as President at Media Technologies Licensing, which licensed his patented fan photography system to The Walt Disney Company, which is currently using it in its amusement parks around the world, Legoland, and Magic Mountain; to photo licensees at most NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA, and NASCAR venues; to leading tourist attractions, including the Statue of Liberty, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, Fenway Park Tours, and Grand Canyon Railway; and ski resorts including Mammoth, Steamboat, Vail, and Snowmass.

In 2019 Dr. Gluck launched, and currently serves as CEO and Chief Technology Officer of Human Engineering Technologies, LLC, a company developing technologies that improve the safety of manual work. Manual work results in pain and injuries to nearly 2 million of the 108 million U.S. manual workers’ backs, legs, shoulders, wrists, hands and fingers each year. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, manual workers represent over 80% of the total U.S. workforce, working in 30 different sectors of the U.S. economy. Musculoskeletal diseases account for more than 50% of disabling health conditions reported by U.S. adults. In 2019, the economic cost of injury was $4.2 trillion, including $327 billion in medical care, $69 billion in work loss, and $3.8 trillion in value of statistical life and quality of life losses.

Human Engineering Technologies, LLC is currently focused on the hospitality industry because its 300,000 employees work in especially challenging working conditions, especially for housekeepers who have a higher injury rate than construction workers, miners, and firemen. The company’s first product, the revolutionary patented SafeTuck™ Bed Platform, was scientifically proven to reduce pain and injuries to hotel housekeepers by 85%. Several other ergonomic products addressing the hospitality industry are currently under development.

Dr. Gluck is a prolific inventor who holds 25 patents for several technologies in ergonomics, digital imaging, mapping, and consumer products. Products based on his patents have generated over $6 billion in revenues to his licensees. Gluck is the author of the semi- autobiographical book “Business Warrior”, available on Amazon Books. He holds Industrial Engineering, MBA and PhD degrees, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer.

Dr. Gluck is married to Susan, a Registered Nurse, and has five adult children, three of whom are adoptees from foreign countries. He has led numerous non-profit organizations, and has helped raise over $100 million for their causes.
